  Yaktrax Pro, Shoe Traction Device

 Yak Trax

Let's face it.  People, especially old people have too much stuff.  So what do you do? My mom is 81 years old.  And she's amazing.  Until recently she still worked part time at the Washington Post.  She loved being in the middle of things and I was really glad she had such an active and interesting life.  But I worried about her getting to work in the winter.  I was afraid she would slip on the icy steps in front of her house. Then I read about Yak Trax in Prevention Magazine and I bought her a pair for Christmas.  My sister said they wouldn't work and tried to get her not to use them.  I felt bad and a little mad (because I had also gotten a pair for my sister...)

Anyway, one icy morning, mom decided to try them out.  Her young neighbor saw her leaving her house and rushed over to help her navigate the icy street.  Luckily for him, she was able to help him up after he slipped repeatedly on the icy sidewalk.  My mom was so tickled that she, an 81 year old woman, had to help a young man cross the street.  She might even buy him a pair.  So that's my story about Yak Trax.

It's a practical gift for someone who has too much stuff.  The Yak trax Pro instantly gives you better traction, confidence and safety on packed snow or ice.  My mom swears by hers.
